Dave arrived in Key West in a most traditional way --aboard his sailboat, Carioca, following a hiatus cruising the Caribbean. With over 30 years experience in design and management, he is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in the state of Florida and provides building design and engineering services in his hometown of Key West. Dave also serves as president of Southern Coastal Designs.

Judi obtained her engineering degrees from Florida Institute of Technology, where she also served on the Board of Trustees. She spent her childhood growing up on the southeast coast of Florida, vacationing often in the resort town of Key West -- where her love for its unique architecture was born. During the past decade, Judi has shared her time between the mountains and the sea. She has become well known for her residential home designs in the northeast Georgia mountains and lakes area. She has also continued to spend a portion of her time in Key West working on building design and continuing to study the local architecture.

The two have once again teamed up as co-founders of Southern Coastal Designs and Duval Publishing. State of the art CAD programs were used to model all the house styles of Key West and provide unique illustrations of typical interior layouts. Complete construction drawings for all the houses featured in "Living in the Key West Style, Anywhere!", will soon be available.
